Question About Mobile Phone

Recommended Posts

I don't beleive it's as simple as turning off 'Show caller ID' in settings.

it is actually.

just turn it off and try it.

I had the same question in another country and had to contact the mobile company to switch it off. I believe some companies give you a code to enter to turn it off and some make you pay for the privilege.

I tried switching off 'Show Caller ID' and i couldn'r make any calls. The phone wouldn't work.

Was just wondering what the situation was here in Thaialnd.

I am with the TH GSM network. How do i stop my number appearing on the phone of the person i'm calling. I don't beleive it's as simple as turning off 'Show caller ID' in settings.

Anyone have any idea how to do it?

Cheers

On AIS you can't.

If you turn of "send caller ID" your phone calls won't go through.

Not sure on the 2 other providers (Dtac/True)

I have personally done this before with AIS the same as you, you have to subscribe to their 'Private Number' feature first before you can use it, just speak to the call centre 1175 they will switch it on for you. It has a small monthly charge. Then you can switch it on and off, showing your number or not on your phone.

If I get a call and there is no name or number showing, I refuse the call. Too many scams and BS going on in the world.

All spam calls I got over the last few years had numbers attached to them.

Unknown or blocked numbers are invariably calls from outside Thailand. H
