Have You Seen The New Thai Unity Coke Ad At The Movies?

What a surprise at the movies yesterday to see a wonderful message of peace and unity from the Coke company!

The advert features a crowd of very diverse Thai people

Buddhists and Muslims

Red shirts and Yellow shirts

get together over good old fashioned traditional Thai sanuk of eating delicious Thai foods outdoors along of course with the traditional Thai sugared beverage of choice, Coca Cola!

There is one moment in the ad that at first viewing may make you jump. There is a table of red shirts and a table of yellow shirts, and their tables are separated, and then after a slight tense hestitation they JOIN their tables together to enjoy the food and drink together.

I am not a fan of Coke but I am a fan of national unity here in Thailand. Congrats to Coke Thailand for screening this wonderful positive productive message.

Bravo.

But their bottle is RED Ei Ei..

Anyway, I heard the Yellow speaker announced that the Red Bull send them supply. If it was true it means anti Thaksin side includes another heavy eight participant with no less money to spend in whatever circle. The act could be the real siding as Mr. Chaleaw, the Red Bull owner must know that Thak. would never forget it.

I didn't even think of that. Maybe that is one of their motivations, they want to appeal to all Thais, not only the reds, especially as the red movement is ever decreasing in popularity ... In other words maybe their real motivation was mercenary, what to expect from a big corporation, but it doesn't really matter, their message is a good one.

You seem to be easily suggested to, yes?

What wonderful stuff, it makes everybody get along. Perhaps somebody should send some to Israel and Palestine.

Sure, that's the first thing I think of when consider multi-national corporations - their sincere concern for the well-being of mankind. So heartfelt, as well......

I saw the ad. I saw all those people stretching across the country drinking coke and the only thing I was thinking was that were no bathrooms in sight!

Never mind that coke cans are red; McDonald's arches are yellow.

What's that bleedin car advert at the moment. Can't remember if it is Toyota/ Honda / whatever but I am pretty sure it is Japanese.

So anyway, on the ad they are singing. have a wonderful life, what's wrong with your life....

I feel like calling them up and saying P1ssoff, my life is just fine thanks, even without your product. That ad gets under my skin a bit.
