Supreme Court gives life sentence to notorious drug dealer in Klong Toey

BANGKOK: -- The Supreme Court has handed down a life sentence on Sayam Supworasit better known as Parp 70 Rai, a notorious major drug dealer in Klong Toey slums.

The court disagreed with the Appeals Court which dropped charges against Sayam. The Supreme Court upheld the Criminal Court's conviction ruling against Sayam and sentenced him to life imprisonment.

Sayam is now being detained at the Phitsanulok Prison. The Supreme Court sent the ruling to be read to him at the prison last week.

The ruling was read to the public prosecutors Thursday.
