Utapao Airport Welcomes Airline Company Officials To Examine The Future Upgrades To The Airport.

Pattaya, September 12 [PATTAYA ONE NEWS] : On Friday, Rear Admiral Surapong, the Deputy Director of Utapao International Airport located on the border Rayong Province welcomed a delegation of 30 airline officials who were shown the upgrades currently underway at the Airport who hope to attract more international flights in the future. The airpoirt will soon change its name to the Utapao-Pattaya International Aiport and with it being only 40 minutes from the center of Pattaya, the Military-controlled airport hope to convince airlines to offer a selection of direct flights to Utapao rather than Suvanabumi Airport in Bangkok. The group were given a presentation of the improvements underway and were then given a tour of the Airport and facilities available to airlines who wish to conduct repairs of their planes.
