German starts fight in Scandinavia

19th march:The German got up and smacked the Scot in the face

At 2am on March 18, Police Major Wirawut Milai, inquiry inspector at Pattaya Police Station, received word of two foreigners slugging it out with one another outside Scandinavia on Soi 13.

Even though it must have taken officers a little while to get there, when they did so the two men were still in full swing. The fight of course was broken up and both men were escorted to the police station. Both versions of event were not reported; instead the story was told by an eyewitness. He or she apparently said that one man identified only as Hans, 45, from Germany came into the establishment and had a drink. Then the other gentleman by the name of Eric, 48, from Scotland, along with his Thai wife, then arrived some time later. For some reason they were both giving each other the eye, and at some point during this flimsy tale, Hans got up and smacked the Scot in the face.

Hans was charged with assault and locked up. Eric was free to go home.

To be fair to the German, he did go 1-0 up by getting the first punch in, I'd say a 1-2 victory to Scotland with a golden goal winner in extra time. Great come back Scotland.

According to this weeks Pattaya Mail the Scotsman got up to ring the bell at the bar and buy everyone a drink. The German for some reason took offence and hit him over the head with a bottle.

The German has paid the Scotsman`s medical bill and given him 50,000 baht as compensation.

So here we have a Generous Scotsman and a generous German.
