Cambodian Embassy

Featured Replies

I went today to the Cambodian embassy to pick up my visa for my monthly jump over the border. As of today the embassy is charging 25 USD / 1500 THB for one day service (issue of 30 days visa) and the usual 20 USD / 1000 THB but for three days service....

Thought this might be worth knowing...

Why dont you go on a bus trip where they pick the cambo visa up this side of the border and its all included in the price? Just curious.

Why  dont  you  go  on  a  bus  trip  where  they  pick  the  cambo  visa  up  this  side  of  the  border  and  its  all  included  in  the  price? Just  curious.

Because the visa charge in Bangkok is only 20 USD (@800 Baht) at the border it costs 1000 Baht, I take the coach from MoChit (which I think is 180 baht each way).

So with bribes and tuk tuks included it costs about 1500 Baht all in, and no I am not that tight, it is simply that my wife and I both have to cross the border so doing it this way saves about 1000 Baht each time.

Now you know....

Fair enough...........but if your after the one day service your not saving anything i suppose. .......and the 3 day service obviously entails 2 visits to the Cambo Embassy with associated time/costs. :o
