Drifting Boat Slams Into The Rear Of Walking Street Seafood Restaurants.

Featured Replies

Pattaya, September 30 [PATTAYA ONE NEWS] : Late on Tuesday Night there was drama on Walking Street after a seafood restaurant was forced to evacuate staff and customers after a boat had smashed into the rear of the restaurant which is built over the water. Tourist Police and Pattaya City Security Officers rushed to the Seazone Seafood Restaurant located opposite the entrance to Soi 14 on Walking Street and assisted in evacuating everyone. Some stayed behind to watch the unmanned vessel as it relentlessly slammed into the wooden supports at the rear of the restaurant. Because of high seas and strong winds there was nothing that even the Pattaya Sea Rescue Units who were called to the scene, could do. Three restaurants were evacuated including Seazone, Lobster Pot and Tankay Seafood as a precaution and the boat eventually caused damage to all three restaurants. Over 1 Million Baht’s worth of damage was caused and we can report that no one was injured. The boat was eventually towed away and Sea Rescue officials are now in contact with the boat owner who has some explaining to do.
