More news on Pattaya Beach Development

Hall to discuss the future development of the Pattaya Beach Area with Committee Members in charge of the study on future development and improvement, and officers from the Marine Department of Thailand.

The Mayor stated that the present development had been divided into two parts for study, survey and design. The study requires a budget of 15.7 million baht which is to be paid by 8 million baht from the Pattaya Office of Engineering Department budget for 2009, whilst the remaining 7.7 million baht will be paid by the Chonburi Provincial Administration Organisation's budget for 2010.

Pattaya City has become ‘a Designated Area for Sustainable Tourism Administration’ (DASTA), which will allow it to apply for extra budgets to develop the city from central government.

At the meeting, further committee members were appointed along with changes to the administration team. As soon as possible the finished report will be heading for the ‘Office of Natural Recourses and Environmental Policy’ for approval.
