Patsy's Dilemma

That better?? See, no double chin (please excuse the cig growing out of my head)

post-22920-1255952707_thumb.jpg

I think that mini skirts and fishnets went out with whoever (Freddy Mercury, perhaps). I hardly ever wear make up - it makes my eyes run and i look like a panda. I went through all that when I was in my 20's - getting dressed up, made up, down the pub, then the disco. Now I prefer to go natural.

And I am not the only one, I wear clothes that I feel comfortable in, I wear certain clothes where I feel I need to be a bit "dressed up".

I live in jeans and when at home i wear my comfy jammies or sweat pants etc. I do not slink around in silk nighties!!!

My cat sleeps with me, and I don't sleep well if he is not there annoying me. My last boyfriend also enjoyed the cat sleeping and purring on the bed.

I know the dilemma about having a dog watching. My sister once told me about her toddler standing up in his cot..... Don't worry, he's now 33 and doesn't seem to have any problems!!!

oh, god...it's just as I expected...my old photo and yours should meet up...the romance would be beyond Cecil B DeMille's wildest dreams... :)

Im disappointed in that pic Patsy. NO kitty! However, it does look very chic. Ooh la la. You look like you are just an itty bitty little thing, also very elegant. Your laid back style looks great.

OK, I have shown my "whatever" photos - I don't give any thing about it. Here i be widdle mee -

Anyway, I know that some of you have sort of living ways so you cannot and obviously wont put your photo on here, but go on!!

Patsy, has nothing to lose. So she did it. And I...

Perhaps, there is somebody out there willing to do a Patsy too...

We could call it the Patsy Photo Fred With Swirly Faces

As you wanted to see pictures of the last Oxford Moot, which have been censored even from my eyes, do a little search, you will find me , Scouse, Kayo and Robski in a similar state!! :)

Here's an idea. If people are going to show their photos..... submit them to a particular mod so that they can be posted anonamously for a guessing game. Only the mod will know untill it's time to divulge.

Patsy - quite a few members have shared their real pics on the forum, and I for one really appreciate the trust people have shown.

and I was oh so right about how great you must look if you felt the urge to 'dress up' :) not that you need to at all :D

Finished the dunny - long jo - now to dig the garden.

Cleaning the dunny....crikey, is it December already?

Go on, I get all wiggly in my seat about piccies!!

About mine - hey i am thousands of miles away from whoever looks at them and i actually do not give a dam_n. And may work if i ever turn up in your town to find me.

Or i may be sitting in some dodgy bar in Geneva and some sort of geeky person comes up to me and whispers Patsycat to me and it ends up to be... (fill in name as wished) but the one i would like is Old Croc or KerryD.

I almost met Kayo a couple of Xmases ago, but was geering up for Xmas day so couldn't.

And i could have flown over to Engerland and met you lot in Oxford..... Oh well, next time!!!

They don't even need to know what you look like to figure out who you are! I was on the bus from the plane (international flight not docking at a gate???) anyway, called DH to let him know I was landed. Started chatting with an American guy next to me, he was on his way to KK, going to spend the night in the airport. Told him I've done that to Samui but won't do it anymore. And he said, "do you go to Samui or the little island next to it?" and I said, "I go to Koh Phangan", and he said "I know who you are!" It was jazzbo, and it was all very surreal, esp after such a long flight and such bad jetlag. I thought, "I am famous!"

^ Funny. Actually, i remember going into the shop of a well-known TV user and as i had been talking to him about something via the forum I approached him and asked if he was "username". The look on his face was one of wariness! Only when i said that its Eek did he relax and laugh. I dont think id mind too much if one or two people guessed who i was in the way you mentioned sbk, but at the same time i would be a bit freaked if lots of people knew who but didnt introduce themselves. Ie: if i posted photos here. On another forum ive been using for years, i have no problems about posting pics, because its an international forum and the likelihood of one of them bumping into me is rare. Id be very surprised and sociable, of course, if they did, but its just not something that would happen under regular circumstances. Unlike here.

Patsy, Ive always found it interesting that you are in Geneva. Ive never asked you why you ended up there. Well, its not my business of course. More curiosity than anything. My uncle (who is more fatherly to me than my own father), is swiss german. My aunt and he lived in Lausanne for many many years. I went to school in Rolle for a short time also (ughh..20 years ago now..cant believe how time has flown :) ). At that time there was a homeless Scots man who used to sell hash under Geneva bridge. Actually didnt meet him myself (honest!), was just told about him. Just tried out the spoils of my friends encounter. I remember Geneva being this amazingly clean picture perfect city, but way too civilized and unexciting through my clueless 16 year old eyes.

I very much agree with you, eek. Lausanne is a much more 'alive' and fun place than Geneva (and I've been back to both places in recent years, with eyes considerably over 16 years of age).

/ Priceless

I came here when I was 9, my dad got a job at the World Health Organisation. I went to school at the International School of Geneva, did the IB failed the IB was sent to 6th Form College in Oxford (St. Clare's) to re do the IB failed the IB. Then went to Edinburgh to secretarial college and worked there for a few years. Got a work permit to work in Geneva so came back (salaries were much higher here than in Edinburgh). And the rest is - this is where I feel at home, even though my mother and sister live in Edinburgh I don't think i could live there. I have my life and friends here, oh and that fat cat thing.

Lausanne is a beautiful city and I agree that the nightlife is probably better. But in Geneva, what I like is - there are a few pubs where I can just walk in and see friends and listen to good music and still be able to walk home without any hassles. Whereas if I went to Lausanne I would have to keep an eye on the time to get a train home etc. A few years ago I went to the Montreux Jazz Festival to see Simply Red and with their stupid train schedules I didn't get home till 5 am!!

When I get time and a camera I shall take some piccies of my home town which I love!!!

I presume you went to school at Le Rosay, Eek? That's posh!!

Geneva is not as clean as some people percieve it to be - My God, the Chippendales are come to town soon.....!!!!! And I saw the Commitments in a free concert in August.

a baccalaureate secondary system is murder...I spent 2 years in Bolivia like that...there were grown men at my school still struggling to complete as there was no entrance to university without it...13-14 subjects per year: fail one and the year has to be repeated...sheessh. add evil, corrupt and incompetent instructors into the mix and sheeee-it... :)

Guy's this is tongue in cheek thread. My previous post was just that, very over the top, ha ha haaaaaa!

But good to see some of you still a bit hungry and bite, you (not you PC) should spend a bit of time in "General" , freeking hyena's there sometimes.

B/W piccie looks very nice!

:)

Gotta go, pick up some chicks that only look at the outside............ :D

Just kidding!!!!!!!

:D

get outta here, alex...to prove credibility you must pledge to sell the BMW and to use public transport from now on...an' no one will want to hear of you smooth talkin' dem univ. babes in mini-skirts on the buses...

now, I might wanna but, being half blind, dysfunctional and half crippled and the buses ain't got no wheel chair access...but I'd settle for a poor somtam seller in shorts and t-shirt...(tutsi jingles the satang in his ragged trousers...)

:)

an'...I've had enough of 'hyena foe men' from my days of hangin' out with George Gordon and his pal childe Harold...don't need no further aggravation... :D

It was maths that killed me - I passed everything else - English, French, Spanish, Geography, Biology.

Maybe Alex would like to post a pic of himself on this thread.........

in fishnet stockings and a mini-skirt, naturally :)

Great story Patsy. I get the feeling you have had, and are having, a very interesting life! :D

I presume you went to school at Le Rosay, Eek? That's posh!!

Haha, well yes, Le Rosey, but im about as posh as a Ferrero Rocher :)

Would it turn you on, SB?

:)

:) remember, we've met :D

Sure, I am easily amused. Go for it alex, I imagine the other girls would love to see it too :D

yeah...I did badly at maths but the instructor was a compassionate woman (also young and attractive) and knew that I had already lost a year because of not speaking spanish and gave me a passing grade when I tested early to leave before the end of term to return to the states...I never did effectively learn algebra until my late 20s...

I did well in Spanish to the ire of the instructor (a classic latin gringo hater) who accused me of plagarism in front of the class when I once turned in the best written essay...as I had consulted with classmates regarding language usage he didn't have a leg to stand on...fcukin' POS... :)

when I left I had to get certification from the local board, the head of which was my chemistry teacher...he made me sit in the reception of his office for a week until my uncle paid him a bribe...for something that I was entitled to...another fcukin' POS... :D:D

and I was only 17 y.o. :D

- My God, the Chippendales are come to town soon.....!!!!!

Whadda ya waiting for tutsi? Get on up there and ferget about hard times at Bolivia High... :)
