You have three options.

1. Take a taxi for about 3.000 BHT

2. Take the buss from Mochit buss station for about 700BHT

3. Take a flight to Buriram airport and then take a buss or taxi. not sure the of the cost.

If you like option one pm me and I will send you the phone number of the taxi driver that I use. The driver speaks English and has a decent car.

Cheers

Thank you for you reply. What about taking the train?

I´m going to a little town near Prakhon Chai on Nov, 15th and as flights to Buriram seem to change or being cancelled on short notice I was looking for the best way to get there too.

1. about three years ago still at Don Muang I picked up a taxi outside the airport and after some negotiation he took me there for 4000 THB. The problem is that BKK taxi usually run on gas and at least at this time it was quite hard to find a gas station with lpg along the highway. Now I found a professional limo service in the internet that will charge 4000 THB with a Toyota Camry.

2. maybe prices changed in the last years but when I used a bus the last time the price was around 350 THB.

3. flights to Buriram are normally the best way to go as it takes just about an hour to get there. Unfortunately PB Air seems to reorganize its flight schedule. Normal price around 2600 THB with a promotion at last of 2000 THB. The problem of the airport of Buriram is that it is not even near Buriram but somewhere in the boonies. If you don´t organize some transportation on your own in advance you might have some problems already to get to Buriram.

@Amsterdam:

I would be interested in your taxi. What car is he driving as I have a lot of luggage but also don´t want to sit for several hours in an uncomfortable pick-up?

Regards

Schmuddel
