3g Near Sakaeo

Featured Replies

Hi all

i have a house being built in the 'sticks' near Wangnamyen, Sakaeo, or to be more precise Ta Lang Nai / Wang loo-am, just off the 3434 main road.

as far as i know there are no phone lines. and even if there is one on a local road i'm fairly sure they won't have a ADSL link from it.

i have a hutch cdma/3g modem , however this only picks up a standard connection here.

AIS signal is a little weak, but comes and goes.

DTAC is a full signal on edge.

are there any 3g/cdma offerings from any company that will would out here to give me a better that edge connection ?

or is there any way to link multiple edge connections. i work a lot on the net so speed is pretty important to me.

CAT would be the only provider having faster mobile internet, but as per your experience they did not upgrade in your area and you're stuck with CDMA 1X (at 140 something kbps)...

Edge will be slightly faster (if you have full signal strength).

AFAIK you cannot create multiple connections through Edge.

So doubt you'll be able to get faster, at least until you can get ADSL or until CAT upgrades it's local tower.

Just re-read your post and you state you have a Hutch modem. Is it Hutch signal you pick up or CAT signal?

Because if you are in a CAT area, Hutch internet will not work, even if it indicates reception, and maybe your modem indicates regular cdma because it is not from CAT.

Try to find a CAT office and double check!
