Local Pattaya police have confirmed that they recently recovered 10 stolen motor bikes that had been stripped ready for respray and sale, as well as 2 firearms, in a secluded house in the locale of Huay Yai.

Pattaya, the 9th of November 2009 (PDN): At approximately 5:30pm on Monday afternoon police Lieutenant General Prakob Saengpring, chief investigator with the Huay Yai station along with Major Phaksuwat Chomthanom and Captain Manat Janthawad recently raided a known Huay Yai gang premises in which they found 10 stolen motorbikes and 2 firearms with various amounts of ammunition.

The stolen motorbikes had been dismantled to varying degrees (ready for repainting) after which it is believe they would have been re-sold, possibly to members of the same Huay Yai gang at an extremely discounted price. A long barrel riot gun with 5 shot capacity and 1 bullet was found along with a small 9mm automatic pistol, magazine and 19 bullets in the same location as the motorbikes.

Police have said that the house/shed was in Moo 8 of the Huay Yai district of Pattaya and was un-numbered. The owner of the house and several suspected gang members disappeared when police arrived and were not apprehended, meaning further examination of the stolen bikes and confiscated weaponry will take place in order to bring these dangerous criminals to justice.
