Youngsters have ALWAYS REBELLED at authority. It is their way of showing independence. The French give their kids wine when they are growing up and there's no big deal about under age drinking. My parents shared a beer or a small glass of wine with us 4 kids growing up and none of us ever thought of getting drunk. I did the same with my kids and neither of them drink or smoke.
