Thinking of spending a day or two in Bangkok but mainly because I want to be Chatuchak ..so for those in the know please advise accordingly. My budget range is anything between 1,000 -1,500 Baht per night.

Karmanee Palace Hotel- Soi Pradiphat, (Phahonyothin 15)

Its near Saphan Kwai BTS. I have stayed there, its nice.

Alternatively.

Central Sofitel, which is at Central Ladprao - north of Chatuchak. I've also stayed there. Also satisfactory more pricey.

Budget: You'd need to go to the former

There's also Maruay Garden Hotel, but it's not as close as the two mentioned above. A budget hotel as well, I believe. Do a Google search on it and you can find some info on it.

not too many options around JJ really.....why not choose one of the many hotels at Ratchada Road, f.e. FORTUNE HOTEL at Fortune Tower, where u have the MRT station just in front of the hotel, and which sends you almost inside of the JJ market (Kamphaeng Phet station) for as low as 15 Baht within 15 minutes......there are some more hotels at the range of 1000-1500 at Ratchada, just check one of the numerous hotel-booking-websites.......have fun.....but be aware of the pickpockets at JJ-market......

Siam Beverley Hotel, Ratchada Road near Huai Kwang subway station.

1500 Bahht per night quality but their rates are 700 per night. A steal, and their club sandwich in the lobby is the best I have tasted in Bkk.

Karmannee Palace hotel must look old now ? Anybody has been there recently ?
