Unity Law Office On The Corner Of Soi Bongkot And South Pattaya Road Shot At In The Early Hours Of Thursday Morning

The Unity Law office on the corner of Soi Bongkot and South Pattaya Road was shot at in the early hours of Thursday morning by two men on a motorbike.

Pattaya, the 26th of November 2009 [PDN]: Lieutenant General Tawatchai Sudsakorn (investigator with the Pattaya Police), received a report that a man had shot several times into the shop front of the Unity Law office in South Pattaya. A team of officers was sent to investigate the scene.

When officers arrived at the scene they discovered that the store window had been shot at and several items within the office had also been damaged as a result. Nine 9mm shell casing were found on the ground outside the shop, they have been collected as evidence.

Police spoke to a Mr Sanya Khanad age 45, who was a witness to the events. Mr Khanad explained to police that 2 burley men pulled up on a motorcycle before one proceeded to get off and step onto the pavement, shooting several rounds into the storefront of the Unity Law Office. Once the magazine was emptied the man jumped back onto the motorcycle which had no license plate and the pair sped off towards the Sukhumvit Road.

The 7-Eleven across from the scene had surveillance cameras pointing in the right direction however upon viewing the footage the police realised that the event occurred to far away to see the suspects clearly. Officers suspect that the attack was a warning to the owner, as the office is always closed at this late hour and the suspects would have known this. Police have informed the owner of the incident and have asked him to come to the police station for questioning.
