Hi Everyone, Anyone know the information regarding in-out Ticket and Airport Taxes and Fees in major countries (USA, UK, Australia, etc)? Thanks in advance. Best Regards,Krab

They're usually included in the ticket price as the airline has to collect them and remit them to the tax man.

So it would be difficult to say for sure unless the airline itemises the costs like Air Asia does.

Even the air asia does not tell much details, I would need the seperate tax infos and values that people may find it in country orgnisation websites.

From my curent Air Asia tickets

Bangkok = 700 Baht per person

Vietnam = US$ 14 per person

Besides airport departure tax, the ticket have included other taxes and fees when you pay to the agency, such as passenger tax, security tax, CIQ tax, ticket tax, and so on. Anyone know the exact tax types and values for major countries?

I's suggest you do sample bookings on airlines' websites for those itineraries of interest to you. All will give details of the total price including a breakout of all the taxes and fees. (Note that some airlines still charge "YQ" fuel surcharges which can amount to hundreds of Euros/Dollars.)

Example from United Airlines (www.ual.com) BKK-ORD-BKK:

Adult 1 Base fare: USD 2,551.20 All taxes and fees: USD 57.20 Total: USD 2,608.40 (I chose close-in dates so the result is a very high "Y" fare.)

*Additional taxes/fees/surcharges (award travel is exempt from select taxes/fees/surcharges):

Travel within Domestic 50 United States

Fare includes 7.5% U.S. excise tax. Fare does not include the following taxes, fees and surcharges.

* Airport passenger facility charges (PFCs) of up to $18 USD roundtrip

* U.S. government excise tax of US$3.60 on each flight segment†

* September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 USD per enplanement at a U.S. airport

* For travel to or from Hawaii and Alaska: U.S. government excise tax of $8 USD per direction

International Travel (including Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands)

Fare includes U.S. excise tax, and carrier-imposed fuel surcharges (YQ) of up to $250 USD per direction of travel may apply. For travel to some countries, additional airport, transportation, embarkation, security, and passenger service taxes/surcharges may also apply depending on destination. Fare does not include the following taxes, fees and surcharges.

* Airport passenger facility charges (PFCs) of up to $19.50 USD roundtrip

* September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 USD per enplanement at a U.S. airport

* Other government taxes and fees (including U.S. government excise tax) of up to $140 USD based on destination; total may vary slightly based upon currency exchange rate at time of purchase

* Taxes and fees are subject to change without notice and at the discretion of each country’s government.

† A flight segment is defined as each sector of an itinerary that involves one takeoff and one landing

Thanks a lot, I think this is exactly what I need. Besides US I also need major destinations including UK, AU, NZ, TH, SG, HK, CN, JP, VN, etc. Anyone could suggest some good websites that have price breakdown as shown above?
