Disasters come in threes

Thieves smashed a jewellery vendor's car window and made off with valuables worth Bt10 million in Bangkok's Taling Chan area, police said yesterday.

The victim Saen Siriwetchakul had stopped off at a roadside restaurant on Kanchana Road to buy food on Wednesday night, when a fair, Arablooking man walked past and dropped a Bt1,000 banknote. Saen immediately dashed to return the cash to him, only to disฌcover that his car's righthand window smashed and his jewฌellery box and bag missing. This is the third time that Saen has been robbed. The first time was in a similar manner in the Ban Mor area and the second time was when burฌglars broke into his safety deposit box at home.

A security guard nearby said he had seen two Arablooking men scoping out the care, before one dropped a banknote to distract the vicฌtim while another smashed the car window. Shortly after, a third man drove up in a Toyota with no license plate to pick up the duo.

Was it the security guards job to watch the car?

Doubt it

So why should he get involved?

Just read on TV a large topic on "should I help Thai lady being beaten up by Thai guy"

Seems everyone agress "don't get involved"

Maybe security guard read TV and decided not to get involved

Sounds like victim feel for same scan twice ... kind of funny that

If he has been robbed of large amounts before, then why continue

to carry large amounts? asking for it if you ask me
