I will be going to thailand in the near future to visit my Thii Rok in Chaing Mai, i will there there for at least 30 days, and i want to rent an apt for this period of time, i would appreicate any advice on where to rent, how much to expect to pay etc. any assist is greatly appreciated thx......tom

I suggest you re-post this in the Chiang Mai Forum - much more local knowledge available there.

I've stayed at the new (opened November 2004) Viangbua Mansion this year for 6 weeks and was very happy - but it's only cheap compared to a hotel. Check out http://www.viangbua.com

Other places are listed at: http://www.chiangmai-thai.com/apartment.htm but you'll have to do some searching to sort out what's right for you in terms of location, facilities, quality, price etc.
