West Coast Land

Featured Replies

Can anyone help? I'm over from the UK on a semi-permanent basis, and have spent the past year trying to find a plot of land (up to 1 rai) on which to build a house, move in and stay permanently. All is going swimmingly, except for finding the land.

I'm looking from Nai Thon down to the Cape, but don't really want to go round the Cape (scared of the impending yachties). Everyone I see wants to:

1. Sell me a house

2. Sell me at least 4 rai

3. Sell me land at Bht 5.5m + per rai

4. Recommend I build several houses and sell all bar one

5. Any combination thereof.

I'm currently in Cherngtalay, and very happy, but as the management wants to be by water, the shop floor has been looking, without success. All I want is to find the land, build my house and get on with my life.

Done all the usual, spoken with people, looked at land, registered, etc etc etc. Has anyone got any better ideas?

Do I take it your looking for west coast ocean view land ???

What do you consider realistic (if 5.5m is not).. Theres some plots on Karon and Kamala that are buildable but not luxury (distant seaview)..

LivinLOS, thanks.

5.5m is ok for the right piece of land, and Kamala would certainly fit the bill location-wise (Karon might not be quite so convenient for work, friends, school etc).

Distant sea views are perfect. I don't really want to be on the beach (too many people) but the management wants to see the sea. (I offered a nice pond and a selection of photos, but now have wok marks on the back of my head).

I do like Nai Thon, though.
