The Laughing Policeman

Featured Replies

Driving home from BK to CM this morning, turned left from Ekami onto the road that goes to the Don Mueng Expressway (sorry don't know the name), a mysterious sight befell my eyes, in fact I could hardly belive it :)

The Policeman that was on duty directing traffic had a pile of goddies, cakes, water, soda etc on the pavement. He was WAVING and smiling at EVERBODY. If he stopped you from entering the flow of traffic he gave you a gift :D

Even when he was stopping traffic he was grinning from ear to ear.

As we went passed we wound down the window to wish him happy new year and he responded with a big grin and a crisp salute.

Why can't all cops be like this BIB Santa Clause?...it's something I will NEVER Forget !!! :D

Good for him, nice to hear some positive BIB stories once in a while. :)

Nice story,only in Thailand!

Well I remember another smiling cop. He was on morning duty on Sukhumvit near the Phloenchit railroad track

He conducted traffic opposite Suk 1. He was the most happy cop I've ever seen so far.

During Christmas/New Year he had a pile of received gifts piled up where he stood. Everybody must have liked him

Maybe its the same cop mentioned in OP

I'll bet a you tube search would bring up the spinning policeman etc. They seem to have a ball. I'll bet their shift flies by.

Saw a guy similar to this directing traffic along some major road onto sukhumvit, he seemed to be singing and dancing to himself. No gifts though, unfortunately.

Thanks for the refreshing post. There's so much negativity in this world. We don't hear enough about the positives.
