Cost Of Importing My Tdi Golf To Los From Uk

Featured Replies

i have a 3 yr old vw golf tdi . it cost 4,500 pounds, i couldnt buy a nice motor in los for anywhere near that price, would it be expensive for me to get it sent over to los and about how much would it be ?

Maybe 1500-2000 freight plus in the region of 6500 import tax/duty.

To keep it short it's just not worth it.

Transport in container to BKK 35k baht

Importduty, excice tax and vat: 280% on whatever value they estimate in best case your mentioned value.

Reg and emission probably small problem like 50k.

Diesel fuel, no B5 only Euro 3 or 4.

No spare parts in LOS

Welcome to the (in my opinion agly) world of Jazzes, Vioses and D-Maxes! Wy do you think it's like this? If cars could be imported easly, noone would buy a local car anymore. Personally i would import a nice Trans Am or Corvette, instead of driving a Japs four banger. But this is all a dream overhere! For get it!!!
