I can't see anything---

Neither can I. I did a search of the database of all currently valid Swiss federal laws and found no mention of Elvis Presley. There is a federal law containing a clause forbidding excessive environmental pollution, including noise. Each canton has a law including a clause on the same subject. Most, if not all municipalities have a regulation about it. None of them mention Elvis Presley.

In the municipality where I live, for example, lawn mowing is restricted to the following times:

Working days (Monday to Friday): 07.00-12.00 and 13.30-19.00

Saturday: 09.00-12.00 and 13.30-18.00

I consider it possible that somebody dressed as Elvis Presley mowed his lawn outside the permitted hours for his municipality, was admonished or fined for it, and from this started the myth that in Switzerland it was against the law to to mow the lawn dressed as Elvis Presley. It's the same as saying that it is against the law to shoplift or to shoot somebody dressed as Elvis Presley. The fact is that dressing as Elvis Presley does not exempt anybody from following the laws and regulations.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

What a find... Thanks for posting. What's even more impressive than his riding is all the clear weather!

I read it on a Forum in Switzerland. So it must be true. Myself, I would love it if Elvis cut his grass next door to me. Would make my day!! Now how about the law that your hedges cannot be above 2 metres?!!

Was not that song, some others..

Getting into my James Taylor mode.

Takes an Irishman to tell it as it really is........

NOT PC, language may offend......... soooo funny.

Good one.... Nice to see someone telling it like it is.

It snowed in Geneva, Switzerland on 16 December 2010. First, a car slides on the snow into another car, then a snow plough skids into it.

Haven't seen that happen in Chiang Mai.

Even though Ted found Christ and had been drug and alchol free, he just checked into rehab--??

Yep. Will be interesting to see how this story ends up. Let's hope he doesn't blow the chance he got.

Maybe posted already?

Original transcription "Misirlou" - song composed by Michalis Patrino and his band in 1927 , later rearranged for solo guitar by Dick Dale but more known as theme of "PULP FICTION" . pARTyzanT plays the guitar and his son Miki plays pencils ;))
