BMA to launch TV

Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is going to launch its own TV channel in its bid to communicate with city residents more.

"We will start broadcasting our programmes by May," Deputy Bangkok Governor Taya Teepsuwan said Thursday.

According to her, this TV channel will be packed with programmes about the works of BMA and the Bangkok Council. Many of them will be broadcast live.

She said BMA Public Relations Division would prepare the content based on information provided by all BMA units.

"We have not yet decided which cable signal our TV channel will use," Taya said, adding the decision will be made based on quotations submitted by various operators.
