On Friday Night, Police Lieutenant Colonel Paksar from Pattaya Police Station was called to room number 415 at the New Paradise Inn located in Soi 17, South Pattaya to investigate reports of a foreign fatality. Inside the room on the floor, close to the bed was the body of Mr. Norbert Wilfried Ruppenthal aged 72 from Germany. Khun Woosabong aged 43, a cleaner at the hotel, discovered the body of the man who had not been seen for 2 days. He was known to be in poor health and it appeared he had suffered from some form of illness prior to his death. The body was removed and will undergo a post mortem examination before Police close the case. For now they suspect he died of natural causes and the death was in no way suspicious.
