1) How much are they

2) What sort of thngs do you have to do, and what questions do you have to answer to be able to get one.

3) What do you have to show to qualify for one

4) How long can she stay in England, and how do you extend it

5) Can I take her to other European Countries, like catch the train to Paris from Waterloo

Hi.

A quick visit to the BKK UK Embassy website will answer most of your queries and you can download the forms :o

Brush up on your 'hoop jumping' skills, you will need them.

Assuming that you really mean a 'tourist visa' here are a couple of pointers, referenced to your questions:-

1) Embassy site

2) Your biggest problem will be 'proving' "intent to return", the officials will automatically assume that she is going to deliberately overstay and vanish into the UK. It is up to you / her to demonstrate that she will return to Thailand, often easier said than done.

3) Embassy site

4) Maximum stay is 6 months, extension is not possible!! Neither is a quick out and back a-la 'visa run' she won't get back in, period.

5) NO!! You need to get a visa for the country you are visiting BEFORE you leave Thailand. Get a visa for one of the Schengen countries then you can travel to any other Schengen country.

A simple search on this site will be very revealing. A skerrick of effort won't harm him.

Thanks for the help, I know more now...

It does not seem worth the effort.
