Remember Anita Pallenberg?

Thats a tad rude. and unnecessary.

Huh? Do you just disagree with me as a matter of course? Sorry for trying to be honest, but I changed my mind. sceadugenga is right, elderly men look much better than women. :)

I take that admission of "elderly men look much better than women" as an indication of your preferences.

I'm sure we are all open-minded and forward-thinking here, so that admission doesn't matter................but I have made a mental note, for fear of causing offense, to not make any disparaging remarks about hetero vs homo in your presence in future, and to definitiely not broach the subject of the approaching-necrophiliac desire for the aged.

Personally, men of any age do not do it for me.....but if I was forced to choose, I would not take an elderly one.

Take the makeup off and stick them in some funky clothes and I bet there would not be a big difference. They are all OLD! :)

Well, I'm old, and I don't wear makeup, but I sure as he11 don't look like Keith Richards!

I've made the contentious point before General, that men invariably look better with age while women seldom do. It's nature's way and cannot be helped. :)

In all honesty, i think this is something that men like to believe, but its not actually so. Just as there are few women who honestly look really great when they are old, there are few men. I dont know why men get it into their heads that they look great even when they get old. But, most men of all ages are quite complimentary to themselves (hmm..whilst being overly critical about women (of all ages)). I dont know what men see when they look in the mirror, but the reality of how they look is far different from their perceived movie star handsomeness. Thats natures way, and cannot be helped.

You are exactly right.

For 23 hours and 50 minutes each day I reckon I look like the guy I was 50 years ago. Then I have to shave again.

But even then, most days of the year I don't really look at myself in the mirror - and then, without warning, one morning I'll be shaving and think to myself "Who'se that old fart in the mirror? Not me for sure" Doesn't happen often, but frequently enough to undermine my self-confidence until brekkie-time.

(By which time my Alzheimers has kicked in and I start remembering myself in my true identity at 25 again.

No, actually I meant the growing up comment which seemed to be aimed at eek since you so kindly quoted her post when you made it.

Fact is, I agreed with you before if you had read what I posted, but if you are trying to bait me into something here you are sadly mistaken. I have no issues with my age or appearance. :)

OK, you have let on you are homophobic, and it is pretty obvious why, but in this day and age, you don't have to keep those secret desires a secret anymore. :)

I was agreeing with eek and I was not baiting you. I have worked iin old people's homes and when they wake up in the morning - before a shower of change or clothes - they ALL look like crap.

To me, that should be pretty obvious to anyone who thinks about it, hence the grow up comment to anyone who thinks that they are going to look great when they are 80 if they don't smoke and drink wheatgrass juice every day. I meant to be honest about old age, not insulting.

For the past couple of years I have had rather horrible front teeth. Yes, probably due to smoking, drugs and alcohol. Two days ago I had 4 crowns done (getting a couple more tomorrow).

Wow!!! But the strange thing is, is i am still smiling with my lips closed and not my new teef. I suppose it takes time to get used to them.

They are so "Hollywood" like!!! White and smooth and wonderful!!

When the dentist is finished with me (and it is not fun) - I shall feel so much better and my self esteem will zoom way up there.

So, I don't care if i am 46 years old with a few wrinkles and grey hairs. I have my smile back!!! :)

apologies then, i took it to be aimed at eek.

And yes, old people are generally not attractive, hence the reason that our society revolves around youth, since everything is superficial all that matters is appearance. Never mind that elderly people may be incredibly interesting, experienced, wise or knowledgeable. They don't look like the Jonas brothers or Miley Cyrus so they have no worth. Sad fact of society today.

By the way, maybe I was not very clear. I don't mean that old folks can not look OK during the daytime if they take care of themselves and wear attractive clothes, I meant that the pictures of Anita Pallenburg were very unflattering and most people at that age with no makeup and bad clothes would look just as bad.

Of course, having a cigarette hanging out of one's mouth does not help anything. bah.gif

I think a woman like Anita would be sick and tired of having to doll herself up every day for the past 40 or fifty years, and just wants to dress as she wishes. And act her age. Not go under the knife, enjoy her life. I think she looks nice.
