Fishermen Photography

Featured Replies

Hi to everybody.

Going to visit Thailand in late april. The main purpose is photograpy.

I`d very much like to make some shooting of fisherman trade. They say (somewhere on this forum) that in Hua Hin i can find many local fishermen.

Can anyboby give an advice - where is the best place to find them?

There are places in Hua Hin (main Hua Hin pier), Cha-Am and Takiab (boats unload and fold their nets in a pavilion right along the road) where fishermen come in with their catch. Takiab may be the best place for photos but you could try all three if you're going to be here a few days. They fish all night and bring in their catch very early in the mornings so you will have to be there at sunrise probably.

Welcome to Thailand.

Here are some images of the fishing harbour of Cha Am. About 25 km north of Hua Hin.
