Help With Visa

Recommended Posts

HI,

I want to move to Thailand and hope to find a job eventually. I am searching for a job currently from Holland, but if that doesn't work out I want to go to Thailand and look for a job from there.

So, my questions is: If I want to stay for 6 months or one year, while looking for a job in Thailand, what kind of Visa do I need?

Can I apply for a multiple entry non-immigrant visa that is valid for one year and leave the country each 90 days?

Nationality: Dutch, The Netherlands

Age: 24

Thank you for all your help.

Very much appreciated.

Iliana

You could try to apply for a Non Imm visa as to whether you will be granted one is another question.

Why not just apply for a double entry tourist visa which would give you a maximum of 180 days stay in Thailand........this will give you a chance to have a look around at the job prospects here (which to be fair are slim unless you have some technical expertise)...........if you find suitable employment you can take it from there. :o

I would go for the double entry Tourist visa. That will give you 6 months.

When you find a job you can take a trip to Penang and get a Non Imm B based on the job offer letter.

As Thaiflyer says you will need speical skills to land a job here, which

I rather doubt, given your young age.

The alternative is teaching, which is notoriously badly paid.

Even then a degree is a good start on the qualification ladder.

Astral, totally agree, you will have a very long struggle to get employment here unless you have a University Degree.

Also don't believe what some people say, fakes and dodgy degrees will get you into trouble and can get found out in the fullness of time, then its big trouble.

A tourist visa can be changed to a non-im in Bkk, if you get a job. No need to leave the country. Been that way for about 7 years now...

Personally, I'd go for the one year multiple-entry non-im because of the 90 days stay. I don't know the situation in Holland, but non-im's are very easy to get in the States, especially through the Honourary Consuls...

Good luck :o

Thank you all for the advise. I am gonna see if I can get the Non IMM VIsa B.

Hmm, the letter from the company, what does it has to say? That they are inviting you or that you are going to work for them?

Really appreciate your help!

Just try for a non-imm b visa in Holland.  Generally easy to get in Western countries.  In the US generally only need a letter of invitation from a company (which should be easy enough to "get").
