Drug Making Factory Found In Karaoke Bar In Jomtien

In the early hours of Tuesday Morning and in response to complaints received from local residents, Karaoke Bars located in Soi 17 off the Tepprasit Road in Jomtien were checked by officers from the Police Region 2 Child and Women’s Protection Unit who also received information that drug activity was rampant amongst employees and patrons of the bars. A total of 10 bars were checked and random urine tests were conducted on employees. One bar, in particular, the Kitoong Karaoke Bar, attracted interest from the officers, who found a selection of drug making equipment inside the bar, used to produce and distribute class 1 drugs. A number of employees from the bars checked throughout the night were arrested after they failed urine tests and many licensing irregularities were found in most of the bars checked.
