I apologize if this topic has already been addressed, but I can't seem to find a clear answer after searching through here and Google.

I currently have a 1 year non-immigrant B visa (and multiple re-entry permit and a work permit).

My question regards the requirement to either enter and re-enter Thailand every 90 days or visit the Immigration Bureau close to when the 90 days expires. What happens if I enter and exit Thailand after 30 days of the visa being issued - does that meet the requirement above or do I need to do it closer to the end of 90 days?

For example, if the 1 year non-b visa was issued on Jan 1 and I leave the country on Feb 1 (returning the next day), when is the next time I need to either leave the country or report to the immigration department? Am I OK unti the end of June (180 days after visa issuance)? Or does that trip not count and it has to be closer to the end of 90 days (by the end of March)?

I'm going through a similar situation as above but have changed the dates to make it a little more easy to understand (I know the Immigration Bureau is not open Jan 1 - but it is open on Dec 25, when I had to go pick up my visa and cancel Christmas travel plans. Oh well, at least I got the visa).

I hope the above questions make sense and thank you for any help/insight you can provide.

You do not have a Non Imm B Visa.

You have a 12 month extension of stay based on your employment.

You need to report to Immigration every 90 days. No need to exit the country.

If you do leave the country before the 90 days the clock starts again when you return.

As you have a multi re-entry permit you may travel at any time - if less than 90 days since last arrival or TM.47 report the 90 day clock will start on your return. So if you travel often you never have to make the TM.47 report. The TM.47 is a single page form for reporting address after staying 90 days. You can do in person or have someone take for your or by mail (at most locations) to your immigration office with no need to leave the country.
