Visa Runs From Korat

Featured Replies

I am wondering where would be the best place to do a visa run for a one year multi-entry visa from Korat? I am looking at possibly living in Korat after I get a one yr multi-entry, so what's the quickest/best route/city to head for?

I would say Aranyapathet and Poipet Border (Cambodia) would closest

Check this link - Aranyapathet and Poipet Border

There is also a crossing near Ubon Ratchathani / Pakse (Laos)

But as I haven't done those runs I can't say which is better. :o

totster :D

Chong Chom border crossing is closest. Take the 24 road from Khorat, direction Ubon Ratchathani. Turn right at Prasat on the 214 road and the border is approximately 40 km.

R 214 or 217?

214 Udon. Originates at Kalasin terminates at Chong Chom (Khmer border).

217 is the road from Ubon Ratchathani to the Laos border at Chong Mek.

Long term planning Travlling? Thought you had over 2 years left to do in the military yet? :o

Ever look back wondering where the last year went, or even two? Just a bit of "research". I'll probably ask the same thing in a year to see if anything changes or comes to lite........ :D

you just never know sometimes where the wind may blow....... :D

With a one year visa? or for a one year visa.? I'm surprised no-one has pointed that out. If you already have a one year visa and need the 90 day stamp then Chong Chom or Poipet are the options.

If you need just a year 'o' multi entry, then you must go to an Embassy or Consul in another country.

If you are applying for a one year Marriage or Retirement Visa, then Kap Choeng Immigration near Surin will do it.

With a one year Visa so I'd have to do the 90 day runs, but the rest of your info may be needed at some point in time, thanks!
