Cheap/delicious Indian Restaurant?

Featured Replies

Hello!

My boyfriend is coming to visit me here in BKK, and he loves Indian food. Any Indian restaurant recommendations? I would like to keep each entree around 200 baht-under. I figured there is probably a foodie or two around here that knows some places.

Thanks!

Try Akbar on Soi 3 (Nana). Very close to the Sukhumvit Intersection walking North on your left side. Great Food, funny owner who is always happy to recommend some other dishes. Very reasonable pricing too.

Mansoor (south indian) a few doors down from the indian temple in thanon pan (silom)

it s a simple place but the whole bill will be probably 200 thb

Haha, he loves Thai food too, but Indian is his favorite, so I thought I would be nice and oblige. Thanks for the recommendations!

i was taken (by a couple of Indian colleagues) to a wonderfull South Indian on Surawong. I cant remember the name but its in a small hotel/hostel toward the bottom end (Oriental Hotel end) of Surawong just after you pass the highway. The hotel is on the right hand side maybe 50 metres further down past the highway and on the oppisite side from the Indian Host restaurant (not so good and expensive). Dont be put off by the rather dingy hotel, the restaurant is simple and clean and the food is great + v cheap.

If you are a fan of south Indian cuisine, try Dosa King, Sukhumvit Soi 11.

Don't forget to order the pista kulfi (a type of pistachio ice cream) and a masala chai tea for dessert.
