Deputy Prime Minister Visits Pattaya Immigration Office

For the last 7 days, the Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, Major General Sanan has been touring Thailand to see for himself, the problems with illegal immigrants. As part of his tour, on Sunday Morning, he paid a visit to the Chonburi Immigration Office located in Soi 5 off Jomtien Beach Road along with Police General Prateep, the Acting National Police Chief. He was welcomed by Police Lieutenant General Wut, the Commander of the Immigration Bureau and other Senior Police Officers including the Station Commander Police Colonel Atisawit. He was show the work of the Chonburi Office including a recent arrest we featured last week regarding the Thai Man who was providing underage foreign prostitutes for Thai customers. The office had detained 684 illegal immigrants in the last 7 days and the Deputy Prime Minister promised better enforcement of immigration laws in the future to ensure that the problem with illegal aliens is curtailed.
