Undersea is also Southish, Eastish and a little bit to the Northish also.

certainly not Eastish

Westish was directed towards earthquake fault line where the last one struck

Do they still have that Tsunami warning system on Phuket? I think I remember reading it a few years ago that it was now being used for prayer calls or something....

as far as i remember the batteries ran out and no funds were available to replace them.

I was at Kata yesterday and there were some waves that I would think came from the quake. Surf in February is pretty rare.

There are some waves at the moment because we have unseasonably strong winds. Nothing to do with a tsunami.

And the warning system is operational.
