March 1, 201016 yr One of the first pieces of furniture I made here in Thailand was a small rack to hang in the bathroom. It is now about two years old. Going to the loo at night, I heard a gnawing sound. In the morning, I checked with a stethoscope. It sounded like a small bulldozer. I had to leave my car for a few days in the sun, because the neighbors are building a wall. I put the rack on the dashboard, together with a digital thermometer I could rea from the outside. Max. temp. reached: 69.9 C! (An idea to make hot water?) Now, four days later: deadly silence in my bathroom rack. I hope somebody can use the same method. No thanks.
