Hero Gopro Camera

Featured Replies

Recently we discussed various types of motorcycle mounted cameras. Here is the sample of HERO GoPro Cam in action at streets of Phuket taken few hours ago.

I tried it on 2 bikes, R1 and Ninja 1400. Check it out....Btw, I mentioned on another thread of having 2 of these and extra unit was for sale. Well, not anymore, Thai Visa member bought it...

NOTE: I should have kept it in original AVI format but converted to MP4 for my iPod.

Wow, excellent riding!

That splitlaning in the middle of the road thing freaked me out though!

The camera's quality is decent and sound pickup good at low speeds.

This is more or less my first glimpse of Thai roads :)

^Yet still you struggle to keep up with my airblade :):D

Guess Airblade is next on my shopping list :D

It would appear that having a camera mount is superior to gaffer taping the camera to your helmet!

Very much true! This cam can be mounted on helmet but I wasn't happy with result at all.

Did you manage to pick up the camera somewhere in Bangkok? Is there a decent supllier here?

Nope, I bought it while I was in US via ebay:

They have a newer model now but (gulp!) it is $289.85!

Another member on this forum mentioned availability of this particular HD model in Seacon for 12-13k baht. Check this thread:

I haven't seen the Go Pro HD Hero Motorsport version on ebay in Oz. It looks good.

For anyone in Chiang Mai interested, I saw some GoPro kits up for sale at Fast Corner in Pantip Plaza. There was also a shop selling them for around 10K+ at the third floor of Airport Plaza.
