Corey Haim, Tragically Dead At Age 38

They were an interesting duo and that was their best role, but didn't they do other ones?

Yes, he had many credits and was still actively working until his death, but Lost Boys was still his most famous role. Sadly, he had a very serious drug problem.

The other one was the better of the two anyway.

Talk about being "callous" !

:)

If you have nothing to say, why not shut up, hey ? ! !

Sorry, I have no pity for people that chose drugs over life. My condolences to his family, my thoughts are with them, no doubt every ouce of their strength has been tested, sad for them.

I remember watching The Lost Boys when I was a kid and I like that movie.

"People are strange when you're a stranger

Faces look ugly when you're alone

Women seem wicked when you're unwanted

Streets are uneven when you're down"

I agree .... how tragic is it when a drug addict dies ? About as tragic as a lot of other things people do on purpose that lead to death. Tragic is when a hard working law abiding citizen dies through no fault of their own. ..... I know I'm not pc but that's the plain hard truth. It's about as tragic as getting aids through using passed around needles or unprotected sex. Sad perhaps not tragic. Look up the word in the dictionary and see if it's really applicable to every self induced death..... it's not .... It's overuse is an example of liberals and their attitude of how everyone is somehow exempted from their personal responsibility because of this or that ... drugs it's an illness, crime is blamed on poverty, deviant behaviors of all kinds are blamed on numerous things other than bad behavior, it's nonsense as evedenced by the facts , .... Most poor people are NOT criminals, most people who had poor parenting are NOT deviants, ALL drug addicts CHOSE to take drugs ....... Is it really "Tragic" that smokers die of cancer ? No because when you involve a poor choice done over and over and over it stops being tragic and becomes somewhere between stupid and sad.

Sorry, but "tragic" is in the eye of the beholder. John Kennedy was a drug user and it was still tragic when he died as were the deaths of Jimmi Hendrix and Janis Joplin.

None of us are perfect and none of us should be throwing the first stone. unsure.gif

Except that he was a recovering drug addict since his mother passed from cancer and moreover at this point illegal drugs have been ruled out..

JFYI as a person who had never indulged in any illicit drugs or alcohol either I always find it frustrating when recovering drug addicts or alcoholics get such praise, recognition and notoriety for their fight while people who've had the strength of character and resolve not to ever abuse such crutches never get any mention or notice.. So I'm not necessarily defending except suggesting to be fair and reserve judgment until the truth is known..

I still think he peaked really early. Lost Boys of course but reading about his life steered me to one of his very early films, in which he stars playing a 14 year old high school misfit (he skipped some grades) called Lucas. I watched it and I don't think anyone who does can deny he wasn't very talented. I think it is more common than not for child stars to never act much as adults, so at least he did have an adult career.

My condolences to his family, friends and fans. The loss of a young and talented life is always sad. Had it not been for the drugs, he might have accomplished great things. We'll never know.

And you sir, need to be more open and learn about life. Clearly you have not seen much of it and learned even less. Things are rarely what they seem.
