Nice Resort Hua Hin

Featured Replies

Can someone please recommend a resort suitable for a family holiday. Around 2500bht per night would be great. I'd like somewhere with a nice pool and hopefully not too old.

Appreciate the help.

Pattaya would be a resort I would certainly NOT recommend for a family holiday.

:) Pattaya was not requested ??? only Hua Hin and this is a excellent town for family and children, quiet, clean and no walking street etc.

You might like to have a look at the 'Anantasila Hotel' at Khao Takiab. This is about 6kms south of Hua-Hin , located directly on a lovely beach, with a huge swimming pool and good food. My wife and I live not far from the hotel/beach and often go there for meals. The hotel food is good , but there are lots of beach restaurants immediately on the beach that do excellent food.

The Khao Takiab beach is far nicer than the Hua-Hin one and you can get a local Tut-tut into town if that is what you want.

I think that you will be able to negotiate a decent rate with them particularly as this is now into low season.

I have no connection with the hotel, this is just a personal recommendation. I hope that you will have a great holiday.

If you play golf and want a round or just want some more information then just PM me.

It's right, the beach behind the Khao Thakiab hill is much nicer then Hua Hin ...... or if you don't mind 20 km to the south, there you find Pran Buri Beach with many nice resorts and famous beach too.

The rates in Anantasila Hotel are much higher as your budget of 2500 THB, near double but maybe because end of season you can negotiate http://www.anantasila.com/rates.html .... for golf I am greenhorn, I know only Hua Hin have many nice places and myself I am sometimes in Palm Hill Golf while the family take a bath in the nice pool http://palmhills-golf.com/ click living and you find the facilities. Enjoy your holidays :)

Sala@Huahin opened recently. I went to look at the apartments (2nd-4th floor is long term) for long term rental and wow I liked it. Prices are excellent and the facilities are all brand new. I'm pretty sure I will rent an apartment there soon.

Best prices I think you will get with Agoda: http://www.agoda.com/asia/thailand/hua_hin..._apartment.html

Their own website: http://www.salahuahin.com/

Edit: I should add that it is not in the center of Hua Hin, very few resorts are though. But they have shuttlebus transportation and taxi to/from town is around 200 baht.

YES at the moment 7500 PROMO but later double plus if daily need taxi plus 400 / day ...., there are many other in the center and cheap.

The PP Villa is nice. Good sized pool, great location just off the intersection down to the beach. Phone: (66-32) 533-785

I think I paid 1200B about 1 year ago.

You can't beat the fresh squid sold on the beach there.

i was in hau hin its beautifull but ive heard many from there talk about cha am only 20 kilo up the coast rd from hau hin it has beautifull beaches and resorts but a lot cheaper than hau hin , good luck ,plus its quicker to bangkok if your taking the family there.

NO NO NO I live since over 4 years in Hua Hin

Cha Am have a very long (ca. 7 km) nice beach and few good restaurants. During weekends very crowded by people from Bangkok. Near no big or good store for shopping, forget buy any thing for Computer as ink etc.

Children would be bored in Cha AM except they hang on the beach whole day.

Hua Hin have not very nice beach (but behind Khao Thakiap yes) but have big shopping center as Hua Hin Villa Market, Market Village and many more. Much more choice for restaurant from standard Thai up to foreign luxery. Nice walking street (for shopping) what Cha Am havent.

:) you make me smile ..... quicker to Bangkok!!! In Hua Hin start the highway to Bangkok via Cha Am or behind the straight belt. This make maybe a differentce of 10 min which we loose easy around Phetchaburi and at the entry to Bangkok. So really in this point it is the same. Cha Am or Hua Hin Bangkok Suvarnabhumi 2 - 2 1/2 hrs bypassing Bangkok on new highway .... but warning: avoid drive to Bangkok on Sunday afternoon or evening when Bangkok people return from weekend. It take easy 1 hour more.

Not sure if I misunderstand you or not, but it's not 7500 pr. night, it's for a month...

Hotel room rates start at 1200 baht pr night.

http://www.hotelthailand.com/huahin/hin-nam-sai-suay/ the original is hold now only in Thai

http://www.hinnamsaisuay1.com/th/valedity.php

and .... unfortunatly add with the night clubs beside ..... no more proposed for family http://www.hinnamsaisuay1.com/th/roomdetail.php

I can recommend one resort in Pranburi, about 30 minutes south of Hua Hin by taxi or car.

AWAY PRANBURI is located on Pranburi beach with really pretty views down the beach to Sam Roi Yot mountains.

The place is quite small, only 4 bungalows and a nice pool, so most of the time you would have the place to yourself.

Huge airconditioned Bungalow in Thai Lanna style, but modern, wireless internet, True Satellite TV, Massage available, bikes for the kids to ride.

I went there with my wife and baby and we had a ball. Air is so fresh and the beach cleaner than Hua HIn, less crowded, in fact I think we saw maybe only 4 people on the beach the day we were there!!

You can book online or walk is is cheaper, includes breakfast(good one too).

I have stayed in Hua Hin many times, in fact I lived there for a year, and I much prefer the peace and quite of pranburi.

I just booked a junior suite there from 11-15 april includ bfast for 2500 baht a night.,,on agoda.com

Try Prinz Garden Villa. It is a small hotel (16 rooms). Large freeform pool. It is owned by a German guy, Herbert, and his Thai wife. My wife and I stayed there over New Year. Very clean, bright rooms. We would definately stay there again.
