Avocados 2

Featured Replies

We have tried all of the places that people have suggested. No avocados to be found in Chiang Rai. If anyone physically sees avocados please le me know. Many thanks for your help.

I'm having a run to MaeSai tomorrow, If I see any I'll let you know, and try to find out the source.

The avos in Mae Sai come from Burma. If you go to Tachilek, go to the roundabout, turn right, about 1/2 a mile along on the right side is a fruit stall. They can get all you need.

Or go to one of the afternoon markets in Mae Sai.

Thanks mfi, I suspected they may come from Burma or even down river from China.

I'm only going for a ride with my neighbour and I have no business in Burma so I probably won't cross the border, just have a wander around the markets in MaeSai for an hour or two.

I find it an interesting town and enjoy an opportunity to explore when I'm not involved with the logistics of border crossing.
