March 31, 201015 yr Will be buying a secondhand car shortly, whats involved in changing the rego and insurance over to my name ??
March 31, 201015 yr you need car, book and owner to go with you to LTD. you need to bring passport and "Certificate of Residence" usually issued by Immigration. some LTD accept workpermit as proof of residence Seller needs if thai, id card, if farang same docs as you. Cars id should be inspected by LTD before you pay. If car is from another province, LTD will usually not inspect before all docs have been transfered, 7-10 days. 1st class insurance is usually not transferable but sometimes some refund for previous owner can be expected
March 31, 201015 yr Author Sounds easy, what sort of time frame is needed at LTD to do this, does it take minutes/hours or days ??
March 31, 201015 yr Sounds easy, what sort of time frame is needed at LTD to do this, does it take minutes/hours or days ?? if car is reg in same province as your adress, wait in line (5 minutes or 5 hours) and 1-4 hours to process. then 3-5 days later pick up book with your name. done it in 30 minutes, done it in 7 hours, just like back home
