Are there any pubs/bars that show live EPL games? Heading up to CR on Saturday and would like to catch the Man Utd v Chelsea game.

Id also like to know the best bar for watching sport. Do any of the bars have the South African channels that show the rugby/cricket?

I've seen Premier league on TV at the foyer bar in the Starbright Hotel. No idea what satellite they use though.

I'd suggest bar-hopping down JedYod road would be the best idea.

Thanks Mr S - I was starting to thing that Chiang Rai was devoid of anything other than Avocados and enthusiasts

I rarely go out at night as I live some ways out of town but my experience of Chiang Rai's bar scene is they mostly tend to cater for mainstream tourists so I would imagine a TV would be part of the furniture.

You might like to spend an hour or two before the game just cruising the likely looking bars and asking the staff if they will be showing the match.

You'll get a much better atmosphere at one of the bars that the Thais drink at, whenever there's a Man Utd or Liverpool game they are always packed and lots of fun and the beers cheaper too! Try any of the ones in the square next to Par Club.
