Girlfriend will get letter from employer stating she will have job on her return from Australia........................She also attends university and will be graduating in january ........................ My evidence is only some photos and financial records.. Can anyone give me some advice as to what other evidence i will need so i can make it an easy when i go to embassy? I have never done this before and i didnt realise i would need so much evidence , I am thinking things may be ok as my girlfriend has a part time job and also attends university, and i wll be bring a letter of invitation as well as reasons for why i want to bring her to Australia for visit....... Hi tiny

My advice would be just bring all the photos you have, am not sure if they have to dated. I have a similar situation to yourself with my g/f, we have no letters, just sms. I am going to take both are phones as we have sms on there from ages ago. I see that as proof. Also we went to Koh Samet together, I've got the receipt from the hotel we stayed at. Just things like that, basically anything and everything you can show to provide evidence of your relationship. Hope this is of some help.

If you have regular photos it will be hard to make a date stamp on them. If you take them to a photo shop they should be able to reproduce your photos and add a date on them form you. If you photos are digital many photo packages can add a date stamp - ask a friend how.

My girlfriend just got a 3 month tourist visa. I had a similar problem about SMS and Phone calls. My SMS was from an Optus Prepaid. They do not bill so i had no record. I rang optus and requested a copy of my records for a certain period. They said they cant... Until i asked for a manager. Then they said they could apply to have them sent out, if i had a good reason (which i said to support a VISA application).

A week later they arrived.

My phone calls to thailand were made using Cheap calling card, using my mobile and landline. I kept receipts of my calling cards (email receipts or shop dockets, showing the access number you dial) and matched that up with my mobile bill showing i called that number, and my landline bill which i requested itemised local calls showing the same number. I then filled out a statutory declaration stating that those calls were to calling cards (provided) and were only to call my girlfriend on her number which i supplied. Stat decs are legal documents and may carry a little more weight but i do not recommend just filling them out to backup things that may be untrue.

As there is no direct record of your phone calling hers, i believe this is the best you can do. At least it shows you are serious.

I used the 48R form as it is more detailed. Also i supplied a letter of invitation, confirmation of my address, confirmation of employment, evidence of savings, sample intinerary of her trip including arrival and return dates, and a stat dec stating i would cover all her costs while here (financial, medical, and would provide her with travel insurance).

All she provided was her signature on the form and her passport (and a extra passport photo to attach to the form). She must also have a compelling reason to return (family/a child, or a job - letter from her employer) which i covered in the letter of invitation.

I actually forgot to include my photos in the VISA application but it was still granted i believe due to the amount of documents i supplied them with... the more the better i say.

Hope this helps , best of luck
