For all my trips to Bangkok, a visit to Marble House for a good therapeutic thai massage by blind men is a MUST for me. Marble House was situated in a small soi off Suriwongse Road, next to Patpong. Unfortunately, during my last trip to Bangkok, I discovered that Marble House is taken over by another massage parlour and there are no more blind masseurs.

Any recommendation on thai massage establishments with blind masseurs is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance !!!

Not in Bangkok, but there was a thai massage establishments with blind masseurs in Pattaya/Jomtien. See http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache:JXvi-...e+jomtien&hl=en I've been there a couple of times and it wasn't bad. It's been a couple of years since my visit so I'd suggest you call first if you will be in that area.

A year ago I had a nassage by a blind man in Thong Lo, he was fantastic.

I don't know the name of the establishment, but right at the end of Tong Lo (Soi 55) as you come up from Sukhumvit, there is a shopping mall. McDonalds is on the ground floor and there are some fountains outside I think? The massage place was on the top floor I think and was run by the Ajarn, a very old (but brilliant) master of the art. He teaches Thai massage there as well.

I will try and find out more iinfo when my Wife wakes up, if she has it maybee I can post you a number, if you dont hear from me then she no longer has it, best of luck.

There is a very good thai massage establishment with blind masseurs in Soi Ekkamai (Sukhumvit Soi 63)... I used to go there every week.

To find it, if you're heading down Sukhumvit road with the odd numbered sois on the left, as you approach the Ekkamai BTS station, there's the Major Cinema complex on the left, then a supermarket on the corner of the Soi 63 traffic lights... turn left at the lights and it's about 50m up the road on the left hand side.

300 baht for a 2 hour session... air conditioned... male and female masseurs... and all are either totally blind or heavily visually impaired.

It has been just over a year since I went there (as I've relocated from BKK to Banglamung), but if they are still working there, I'd recommend masseur number 11 (female if you're female) and number 2 (male if you're male). You could have a female masseur if you're male (and vice versa) but this is not standard practise.

I highly recommend it.

I recommend this one too.

Funny as the guy who sits at the front never believed that I was a farang, started speaking to me in Japanese twice. I guess my Thai isn't as good as I think it is.

Hi all, last year i had an introduction into learning thai massage in a local massage house somewhere on the countrysite up northeast. I realy want to study more, so i m planning to go to take 2 more weeks of courses at Wat Pho, by the end of september. I chose Wat Pho because, when u check the net, that is the place to be in Bkk. But, old, blind masters don't have websites i guess, so if anyone could advise me on chosing for Wat Pho or if it would be better to look for a master who gives private courses (and do speak little English), i would be very thankfull.. Greetings from belgium!!

To be honest, I tried blind masseurs before (at the very establishment mentioned in the OP) and I wasn't impressed. The best massages I have had came from masseurs that could actually see. If privacy is more of a concern, though, I guess they would be better.

The "Winwan"which is down (from memory) between Soi 1 and think Soi 3 just before Simons old Gin Joints certainly had blind male masseurs....(no reflection on Simons fare....)

It is/was a "proper" massage place and believe may have a connection with the official Buddist School/Training organisations in LOS.

I went a couple of times abou 15 years ago but soon discovered that I wasnt into all that grunting, pulling and twisting stuff ...knacked me out...(mai Chorp) but some mates who went there used to rave about it..... :o
