Siam Simon Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 I'm flying in on the late Nok Air flight (19.55) in a couple of months. I normally pick up a car from Budget, but never arrived this late before. Anyone know if the Budget desk stays open 'till the last flight?
rfukata Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 If you have a confirmed reservation through Budget rent-car and not a walk up, you should be fine as I have seen the Budget kiosk counter open on the later flights. To be absolutely sure, you should email or use the Budget Thailand on-line inquiry service for further questions.

I'd checked with Budget, and they thought the Ubon desk closed at 19.30. I've just double-checked my flight booking and, silly me, the arrival time is 19.25 so I should just about be ok.
samuibeachcomber Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 I would n't worry. If you've made the reservation already, someone will be there with the car and keys to meet you.Have always found budget very good.
SantiSuk Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Good people on that desk - they will be there. Phone them on 045240507 if you want to be absolutely sure.
Siam Simon Posted May 19, 2010 Author Posted May 19, 2010 Yeah. I've used that desk half-a-dozen times. always found the staff to be 1st class. Thanks for that phone number. I'll phone on the day to confirm my arrival.

I have used Budget in Thailand many times, and usually buy vouchers at every travel fair in BKK, but my experience with the UBON station was VERY BAD. first: the tank was full no more than 3/4, but it was stated on the contract that it is 100% full. I only found out after I left town already. then they gave me a WRECK that had a severe technical problem - the automatic transmission was not working properly, and it was not possible to drive faster than about 80 km/h due to that problem. Only found out after I was near Si Saket already, when the streets where free and I wanted to speed a little more......
