Obama banned anybody from showing the US flag in Haiti.

Seems he didn't want the locals to think they were being invaded with all that humanitarian assistance.

Health and Safety, the 21st century bogeyman or the new religion.

"You can't do that because of health and safety issues".

But they never elucidate just what exactly these H&S issues are, it's sufficient to merely utter the mantra and nobody dare question it.

Very similar to a lot if issues these days. Questions, expressions of doubt, alternative views are all likely to land you on the ducking stool.

WHY any nation would want to hang their flag on the side of a garbage truck is beyond me. Should be a permanent ban, simple.
