Iranian Arrested Over Intoxicated Assault on Thai Citizen

PATTAYA:-- A foreign man has been arrested in South Pattaya on Tuesday morning after having been observed by police assaulting a Thai man. At present the man has been uncooperative with police, refusing to sign the arrest/incident report.

Pattaya, the 1st of June 2010 [PDN]: At approximately 1:30am on Tuesday, police Lieutenant Colonel Kreetha Tonkhanarat (Region 2 Police Deputy Superintendent) whilst on patrol in the Bali Hai Pier area of South Pattaya, observed an assault involving a somewhat intoxicated foreign man and a Thai citizen.

Approaching the scene police attempted to intervene on the situation before the foreign man struggled and provoked the officers. He was subsequently arrested and taken to the station for interrogation along with the Thai victim.

He will be 'subsequently charged with struggling and and provoking the officers.

Didnt realise Lt Colonel's (Police Superitendents) even went on patrol....With this knowlege I know I can sleep safer at night...

Like someone else mentioned his crime here was provoking a police officer, if the guy had quitened down I doubt he would even have been arrested unless there were injuries.
