Hmnn, not too bad I suppose when you consider that the last increase was, if I recall correctly, in 1996. However, it does seem that whichever way you turn, the buggers are stinging you for cash.

I believe the ones I posted were off-shore prices only. The last in-country price increases (which led to the £335 mail in FLR application and the £500 in person application) were in April this year.

Yes. Technically speaking, visas are what you get from an embassy. Any permission granted within the UK is referred to as leave to enter/extention/endorsement/(further) leave to remain.
