I was talking to my G/F yesterday on the phone and she was told that she should have money in her account when we go to Australian Embassy to apply for visitors visa for a 3 month stay? I told her when i phoned the Dept Immigration here in Oz they said that as long as i have sufficient funds to financially support her and can prove that then that will be all the Aus Embassy in Bangkok would like to see? Does anyone know or have heard of peoples G/F being rejected because they dont have sufficient funds in there bank account even though there B/F will be fully supporting her?

The same person she spoke to said that she will be getting letter from her University stating that she has to graduate in January, So would that be enough proof of her return to Thailand for her?

Thanks to anyone who can help as it is not far away before i go back to apply Embassy with her, Wanting everything to go good without the rejection

Firstly dont go to apply at the Embassy in Bangkok because you cant do it any more. You need to go to The Australian Visa Application Centre at CC tower. Read through the post titled somethin like Australian Tourist Visa Horror Story By Xerostar. He gives some great advice. Second she doesnt need a cent as long as you sign a Stat Dec to say you will pay for everything including a return flight, accomodation and any medical expences. Get any of your friends that may have met her to sign stat decs as well. You need heaps of proof that you know her. The more the better and make sure its neat and organised. Try putting it all in some kind of file.
