3 meter long snake found in front garden of house in Sattahip

SATTAHIP: -- In the early hours of Tuesday Morning, we joined rescue workers after they were called to a house at the Petnapa Land Village in Sattahip, where a 3 meter long snake had been spotted. Rescuers arrived and were met by Khun Nanapat aged 38 and her 4 year old son. The pair were asleep when they were awoken by a neighbor who had spotted the snake at the front of the house.

Link worked for me james, bit slow but then that could be me.

a 3 meter python is a pretty good size. I remember shortly after I came to Koh Phangan friends of mine came across a huge python crossing the road. The tail on one side, the head on the other it had to be at least 3-4 meters long. Upon telling her MIL, my friend heard, "oh I heard baby pigs and small dogs had been going missing in that area". :P

We had a python on our wall once (curled up in the cement vent blocks), found by one of our guests, a young woman who calmly said, "there is a great big f**cking snake on the wall". :P The guys ran out but she stayed to watch. :D Between my husband and myself we managed to get it down (me on the inside poking it with a very long bamboo pole--him on the other side trying to hook it). He took it back into the jungle behind our place. Way back. But it was just a small little guy, maybe a meter in length.

Happy to hear that even in Thailand there are some people that actually DO NOT KILL

any animal they meet.

Up here in Isaan it is impossible for a snake to survive a meeting with a human being,

they just kill it without any doubts or thoughts.

They cleared out an area behind our house that is owned by the Ambassador Hotel. Maybe an area 15M x 50M or so. It was deep with growth. Inside, they found a 3-4 meter python that was huge around. About the size of your leg. It was apparently digesting something it had eaten.

The workers bundled it up and took it out into the jungle. I seem to remember the area was just off some golf course next to a tall house which had a very nice pond and stream for it to play in...oh, and lots of cats for friends.
