Is there any retailer in Bangkok who stocks somewhat "specialist" equipment – Macro and Long focus (500 mm +) lenses (specifically OM for Nikon DSLR but I would also be interested in Sigma, Tokina etc.), Ring Flashes and so on .......... I have a newly resurrected interest in Nature photography!

Niks or Sunny (same company) for Nikon long telefoto. For Sigma you should phone Jebsen and Jepsen (the importer) if you want a new long prime and they will tell you which stockist has one (there are not many available ex-stock becuase of the cost).

For macro, just about anywhere.

As a Nikon user myself I have to say that both these areas i.e. Long TF primes and macro are much better catered for by Canon, if you were buying a LTF prime of a 500 or 600 you would literally get the camera for free on the savings you would make.
